Woman arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm

A WOMAN has been arrested in connection with an assault in Stoke-on-Trent on Thursday evening (Nov 19).

A man suffered a facial injury following the incident on Vale Street, Shelton, at around 7.20pm and was taken to hospital. A 34-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a sharp pointed article in a public place, and possession of a controlled drug of Class A. She remains in custody at this time. An investigation is on-going and anyone with information is asked to call 101 or report online quoting incident 590 of November 19.
