PORT Vale will be fishing for more success when they cast their net at Fleetwood in the Carabao Cup tonight (Tuesday, September 15).
The Valiants head to the coastal port defending their longest unbeaten run for 19 years - an impressive 11 games stretching back to January 25.
It is the Burslem-based club's best undefeated sequence since the 2000/01 season, when former player Brian Horton was in charge of team affairs.
This saw the Valiants go 16 games without tasting defeat during a rewarding campaign that saw them lift the LDV Vans Trophy at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
Valiants boss John Askey is expected to make changes to the line-up that overcame Crawley Town 2-0 in Saturday's opening League Two clash at Vale Park.
