Theme park thanks visitors for their support before lockdown

ALTON Towers management are thanking visitors for their support during the coronavirus pandemic, on the the eve of the theme park closing down for a month due to lockdown,

Operations Director Francis Jackson said: "The faith and support of our guests and the local community truly means everything to the team here.

"As we prepare to close the gates of the resort once more, and the nation goes into another lockdown, 2020 truly has been a rollercoaster year.

"We will take forward many positives from this ordeal. Our resilience as a team, our success in creating safe places for guests to have fun, the unwavering support of our loyal fans, and our continued passion to take on new and exciting challenges that help put Alton Towers and Staffordshire on the map".

He added: "We hope everyone stays safe over the next few weeks, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon."
