IT'S been a good day at the races for Staffordshire Moorlands trainer Jennie Candlish, who has produced two winners at this afternoon's (Oct 30) Uttoxeter meeting.
Ulverston obliged in the opening 2m 3f novice hurdle and around an hour later Crack Du Nian in the 1m 7f handicap hurdle, both in the colours of Mr P and Mrs GA Clarke.
It took Team Candlish's winning total to five in 13 days, ending a frustrating barren spell for the Basford Lodge yard, near Leek, which stretched back to when jumps racing emerged from Covid lockdown on July 1.
Both horses were ridden by Sean Quinlan and were winning for the first time - despite a 229-day absence from racing.
