POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a drunken brawl which broke outside a village pub in the Staffordshire Moorlands on Saturday night.
Officers responded to a report of disorder outside the Anchor Inn, in Teanford, near Cheadle, shortly before seven o'clock.
Around 20 people were involved and three men sustained facial injuries in the incident.
Paramedics treated two of those hurt and discharged them at the scene.
Landlord Mark Deaville, a local county councillor, said: "A small number of people were absolute idiots. They weren't local to Tean and had clearly been drinking elsewhere.
"I was absolutely astonished by their behaviour," he added.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 715 of July 4.
