Stoke loss Jordan makes his Championship debut for Derby at 19

Updated: Jul 9

JORDAN Brown made his Championship debut for Derby County this evening, coming off the bench in the 84th minute to replace Chris Martin in his side's 2-0 defeat at West Bromwich Albion.

The 19-year-old former Cheadle Academy student and Cheadle SMU Juniors striker, joined the Derby youth set-up after being released by Stoke City as a 15-year-old.

Jordan has since made rapid progress with Derby, after being converted to a defensive or midfield role by the club's coaching staff.

He is tipped to have a bright future at Pride Park - with former England star Wayne Rooney at his shoulder side to give him encouragement.
