TICKETS are now on sale for a Santa and Steam family experience at a popular heritage railway in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
The annual 'Santa Express' at the Churnet Valley Railway (CVR) will be running on selected dates from Froghall station, near Cheadle, between November 21 and Christmas Eve.
A CVR spokesperson has a message for Santa Express travellers: "We can't have a Santa Express with no Father Christmas, so if you're happy for a detour, we'll have to head for the North Pole to pick him up.
"Journeying through Staffordshire's hidden valley, each of our happy little elves will help spread Christmas cheer with songs and quizzes to pass the time on our adventure north.
"Don't forget to look out of the window through the Northern Lights, the train will arrive at the North Pole where hopefully Father Christmas will be waiting for Santa Express's arrival.
"Welcoming Father Christmas on board, we will then continue our journey as our hero ventures through the train to meet everyone and collect all the Santa wish-lists for Christmas Day."
Every child will receive a gift from Father Christmas and the elves will provide a drink and chocolate to everyone.
The train journey will last around one-and-a-half hours departing on the following dates:
Daytime: November 21, 22, 28 and 29; December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24. Leave Froghall 10am, noon, 2pm and 4pm.
Wednesday evening: December 2, 9, and 16. Leave Froghall 4pm and 6pm.
Prices range from £7 to £21.
