ROCESTER FC had the third highest average attendance in Midland League Division One during the 2019-20 campaign. An average of 96 fans clicked through the turnstiles on match days at the Hillsfield ground. The top five MFL Division One attendances were: Atherstone 215; Hinckley 146; Rocester 96; Leicester Road/Heath Hayes 82; Nuneaton Griff 81. The season was brought to an early end in mid-March by the coronavirus pandemic. Rocester signed off with a fine performance at home to league leaders Leicester Road on March 7, losing 1-0. The Romans finished a respectable ninth in the table under new manager Paul Wright. Wright replaced Andy O'Connor in the hot seat in September, the Romans having made a disastrous start to the season, which saw them lose their opening four games, following relegation from the Premier Division.
