Police launch investigation after man is stabbed inside pub

POLICE have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed inside a Stoke-on-Trent public house in the early hours of Saturday morning (July 25).

Officers were sent to the New Penny, in Goldenhill Road, Fenton, just after 3am.

A 38-year-old man was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital where he has received treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Police are interested to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who has CCTV footage. Any witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 or report online, quoting incident number 138 of 25 July.
