POLICE have issued a further appeal witnesses to a serious assault outside a Stoke-on-Trent public house a week ago.
Officers responded to reports of disorder outside the Noah's Ark, in Hartshill, at around 11.15pm last Friday night (August 28)
A 41-year-old man, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, suffered serious head injuries and remains in hospital.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who was at the Noah’s Ark pub or passing the location last Friday night who may have witnessed the incident.
A 30-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
