Police issue appeal after cyclist killed in a collision tractor

A MAN has died following a fatal road traffic collision in Brewood yesterday (May 25).

Officers were called by colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service to a report of a road traffic collision involving a cyclist and a tractor carrying a trailer on Gunstone Lane on the Chillington Estate at 2.45pm.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, the cyclist, a man in his 60s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene and specialist officers are supporting his family at this difficult time.

An investigation is underway and officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses that may have seen the cyclist or tractor prior to the collision to come forward.

Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who may have any dash-cam footage or any other information that may assist with the investigation.
