POLICE are investigating an incident involving a taxi driver who is reported to have attempted to lure a young girl into his vehicle in a Staffordshire Moorlands village.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "We were called at 8pm on Tuesday evening to reports of a suspicious incident in Blythe Bridge.
"At 5.30pm an 11-year-old girl had been approached by a taxi driver while walking by Blythe Bridge train station and encouraged her to get into the vehicle. The girl ran off.
"The taxi is described as back with a yellow stripe and the driver is described as an Asian man, aged in his late 30s with short, spiky black hair with stubble."
