No more Moorlands people died from Covid-19 for two weeks

NO more deaths from Covid-19 [coronavirus] of Staffordshire Moorlands residents have been confirmed for a second successive week.

The information has been released by the Office for National Statistics for the period week ending July 24 and to August 1.

A total of 78 people resident in the district have had coronavirus mentioned on their death certificates since the start of the pandemic.

Of the deaths 55 have been in hospitals, 15 in care homes, three at home, three in 'other communal establishments', one in a hospice and one 'elsewhere'.

In total 692 Moorlands residents have died of various causes since the start of 2020.

Coronavirus has been considered a factor in 11.27 per cent of deaths in the district since the start of 2020.
