FAMILIES without their own transport can take advantage of a new bus service if they fancy a day trip to Alton Towers.
Service 32X operates from Stoke railway station, between Monday and Saturday, and has been introduced by D & G Bus.
The bus picks up at all stops between Hanley and Cheadle en-route to the Towers.
Kevin Crawford, operations director for D & G Bus, said: "We would encourage as many people as possible to use the service, to ensure its long-term viability."
Passengers need to wear a face covering while travelling on the bus.
The return service from Stoke or Hanley costs £9 for adults or £6 for under-18s, students with a valid ID card or concessionary pass holders.
Groups of up to five people can travel together for a total of £29.
Single tickets are also available.
Buses return from Alton Towers at 5.30pm each day.
