Motorcyclist killed in collision on A53 is named by police

POLICE have named the biker killed in a crash on the A53 near Loggerheads on Wednesday night (Nov 4).

He was Jack Davies, aged 21, from Newcastle-under-Lyme.

His red Kawasaki motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with a red case IH tractor towing a green trailer. A blue Ford Kuga was also involved.

Despite the efforts of emergency service staff and passing motorists, Jack was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Specialist officers are supporting his family who have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.

Officers from Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

They are appealing for relevant dash-cam footage or for anyone travelling in the area of the A53 between Loggerheads and Bore Heath, at around 7.30pm, to contact them on 101, or report online, quoting incident 639 of November 4.
