Met office issues yellow alert storm warning for Staffordshire

THE Met Office have a yellow weather warning in place until Thursday for thunderstorms across the whole of Staffordshire.

The storms are currently classed as being 'severe', and carry with them the risk of heavy downpours and surface flooding.

People are advised to stay safe during thunder and lightning and motorists are urged to drive carefully in storms.
