Many North Staffordshire Primary schools prepare to reopen

A VAST majority of North Staffordshire primary schools are set to reopen next Monday (June 1) following an easing of lockdown.

Some schools have decided to phase in children's return, with classes not returning until later in the month.

Many are adopting rota system, so the young students will spend part of their time at school and the rest learning at home.

The Sentinel newspaper has published a list of schools across North Staffordshire returning:

Those in the Staffordshire Moorlands are:

* All Saints’ First School, Leek: Nursery, reception and Year 1. Will attend on a rota basis and aim to put siblings in the same group. Classrooms disinfected twice a day; bridging tasks for home learning; lunch eaten in classrooms.

* Beresford Memorial First School, Leek: Nursery, reception and Year 1 to return, but on a rota basis for one day a week. Each child will have their own pack of equipment, with no learning resources to be brought in from home.

* Bishop Rawle CE Primary School, Cheadle: Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 return on June 1. Will provide all stationery and a water bottle for them.

* Cheadle Primary School: Year groups returning no specified, but will be on June 1. Majority of parents indicated they won’t be sending children back.

* Dilhorne Endowed CE Primary School: Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 return on June 1.
