Man suffered serious head injures after falling from M6 bridge

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered serious injuries after falling from a bridge over the M6 yesterday (Thursday, July 30).

A call to a report of a man who fell from a bridge on the M6 southbound between junctions 14 to 13, near to the Doxey work unit, was received just after 2.45pm.

A man in his 30s, from the Stafford area, fell from the Aston Bank bridge, near to the Doxey work site. He was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital with serious head injuries.

He remains in critical but stable condition.

Two lanes were closed for over two hours whilst officers carried out an investigation at the scene.
