Late goals bring an end to Uttoxeter's five-game winning run

Uttoxeter Town 1, Stapenhill 2

TWO late goals brought an end to Uttoxeter's five-game winning run which had put them hot on the heels of the Midland League Division One leaders.

This Staffordshire derby had seen Uttoxeter in front until the 81st minute when Sam Birks fed Devante Reittie to fire in.

Reittie then struck again in the last minute, this time from the penalty spot, to steal the visitors the points.

Dougie Price gave Uttoxeter the lead in the 32nd minute when he seized on a free kick which rebounded off the bar to score.

This defeat was unexpected against a team from the lower reaches of the table and dropped Uttoxeter down to fifth spot.
