A POPULAR lakeside miniature railway is on the eve of coming out of lockdown.
The Rudyard Lake Steam Railway is opening to visitors tomorrow (July 4) after being de-railed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
A spokesperson said: We have made everything as safe as possible and hope the 'new normal' does not distract for your visit. We look forward to welcoming everyone back this weekend."
Visitors are advised to help comply with social distancing the station and footbridge will operate a one-way system, with entry via the ticket office and exit by the car park over the bridge. The Platform 2 Cafe and toilets will remain closed.
The railway operates mainly coal-fired steam locomotives and provides a three-mile return journey along the picturesque waters edge of Rudyard Lake.
