Jennie's Catchmeifyoucan wasn't for catching at the races

THE Jennie Candlish-trained Catchmeifyoucan broke her maiden with a comfortable victory in a mares' handicap hurdle at Market Rasen races today (Nov 19).

The six-year-old was stepping up to 2m 7f after finishing fourth over what proved an inadequate 2m 4f at Carlisle on November 1.

Jockey Sean Quinlan again took the ride for the Basford Grange yard near Leek.

The 2019 Scottish Grand National winning jockey urged Catchmeifyoucan into the lead at the final hurdle for an impressive five-length victory.

It was the mare's first win under rules after nine previous attempts over hurdles.

Winning punters were rewarded with generous odds of 14/1 for their outlay.
