EX-CHEADLE SMU schoolboy player Jordan Brown is one of three of Derby County's U23's squad currently back in training with the Rams first team.
The U23's campaign has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the Championship agenda could re-start soon.
Brown, 18, and fellow U23 players Jahmal Hector-Ingram and Joe Bateman have sufficiently impressed first team manager Phillip Coco to include them in his end-of-season squad.
Coco said: "It is an opportunity for the boys to show themselves, to get used to the resistance, the loads of the first-team sessions.
"They have given us a good impression and so we have to make decisions for pre-season towards next season."
It isn't the first time Brown, an ex-Cheadle Academy student, from Cresswell, near Blythe Bridge, has found himself training with first team, as former Derby manager Frank Lampard invited him to do so last year.
Brown added to his impressive CV by playing for the Young Rams in this season's EUFA 19's competition.
