Leeds United 5, Stoke City 0
STOKE City are staring a drop down into League One in the face after suffering a crushing defeat at Leeds United this afternoon.
Leeds on the other hand look destined for Premiership status after replacing West Bromwich Albion as Championship leaders.
Spirited defensive work by Stoke had kept Leeds out until bang on half-time, when a careless lunge by Tommy Smith handed Leeds a penalty. Klich stepped to score from the spot.
Two minutes into the second half Leeds went 2-0 up through Costa, after he caught the Stoke defence napping - and from there on the rampant hosts took control.
Further goals from Cooper (57'), Hernendez (72') and Bamford (90+3) sealed a good night for Leeds and a sleepless one ahead for Stoke.
Stoke replaced Charlton in 21st spot below them as a result of the size of their defeat giving them an inferior goal difference.
The Potters now face Birmingham City at home on Sunday, and thereafter Bristol City away, Brentford home and Notts Forest away.
