Frustration for Staffordshire as NCCA competitions held over

STAFFORDSHIRE face a frustrating to wait to take a take a bow in the newly-named National Counties Cricket Association (NCCA) competitions.

The Minor Counties Eastern Division champions should have faced Leicestershire at Knypersley last week, before the coronavirus pandemic hit sport for six in the UK.

The NCCA competitions are now been held over until next year.

NCCA operations manager Richard Logan said: "Overall it is very disappointing we won't be playing, although I believe a few of the counties may play some friendlies later this summer.
