THE 2021 cricket season may be a long way off yet, but there remains plenty of activity off the pitch in the North Staffs and South Cheshire League.
The transfer situation remains on going with players switching from club to club in abundance.
The latest moves involves former Leek and Durham player George Harding joining Stone SP as their new pro from Crewe.
The 24-year-old - a right-hand batsman and left-arm spin bowler - rejoined his boyhood Cheshire club this summer on being released by Durham at the end of the 2019 campaign.
It was after joining Leek as a teenager from Crewe, in 2015, that Harding was recommended for trials with Durham. He impressed and this led to him being welcomed into the county's academy.
Harding made the first of three first-class County Championship appearances for Durham against Glamorgan at Swansea in 2017 and also took part in eight List A one-day games.
He has also played minor counties cricket for Staffordshire and Northumberland.
