Former Crown Prince-owned racehorse joins Team Candlish

STAFFORDSHIRE Moorlands trainer Jennie Candlish sends out an interesting stable newcomer at Newbury Races tomorrow (June 12) evening.

Mutaabeq has joined the Basford Grange stables near Leek from the Whitsbury Manor yard of Derby and multi-Group winning trainer Marcus Tregoning.

The five-year-old has two wins and a second to show from seven outings to date and was previously owned by Crown Prince Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, but the horse now runs in the colours of Glen's Fools 2.

One of Team Candlish's favourite jockeys,' Joe Fanning, gets the ride on Mutaabeq in the 6.25 1m2f handicap at the Berkshire track.

Another newcomer to the Candlish yard, the three-year-old Hachert, finished a promising fourth of 12 runners in a 7f maiden on the all-weather at Wolverhampton yesterday. Hector Crouch was in the saddle.
