Football: Old Boys considerably weakened for opening fixture

LEEK CSOB start their season in the Staffs County Senior League Premier Division away to Wolstanton United tomorrow (Sat, Sept 12).

It's a tough call for the Old Boys who will be without a stack of key players who are either injured or unavailable.

CSOB boss Kielan Bond, pictured, said: "No Pettit, Bennett, Reid, Lowe Forrester, Coates and Wilson, and Morgan and Wainwright are doubtful, so we travel with a very young squad."

Bond is not happy that Bennett has to sit out the opening game because of suspension.

"Bennett is suspended from last season even though the season was void," fumed Bond.
