JAMES Curley and Doug Price helped themselves to a brace apiece as Uttoxeter extended their winning league and cup run to five games.

The victory moved Uttoxeter up to second place in the Midland League Division One table, five points behind leaders Leicester Road who boast a 100 per cent record.

Atherstone took the lead through Alex Naughton in the 19th minute, but Uttoxeter responded through Curley ( 32 mins) and Price (37 mins) to go in at half-time 2-1 up.

Price added his second goal after 59 minutes and Curley made it 4-1 in the 65th minute with his ninth goal in seven games.

THE Romans fought back from a goal down to make it back-to-back league wins.

Paget led 1-0 at half-time through a Max Turner goal scored in the 13th minute.

However, the Romans fought back well in the second half to steal the points.

Liam Robinson netted his sixth goal of the season in the 51st minute, seizing on a palm-out by the home keeper, and then turned goal provider for substitute Jordan Godfrey - on for Jack Dundas - who headed in powerfully from Robinson's free kick in the 71st minute.

The Romans then went further ahead four minutes later when substitute James Handley - on for Luca Sorrentino - broke away to score his first goal for the club.

Rocester are away to Heath Hayes this Saturday and then hit the road again with a trip to Stapenhill next Tuesday night.
