Fly-past honour for Captain Tom on his 100th birthday

BRITAIN'S newfound hero Captain Thomas Moore was paid a huge tribute on his 100th birthday with a RAF fly-past over his Bedfordshire home this morning. Capt Moore has raised almost £30million for NHS services by walking 100 sponsored laps of his garden, having beaten his initial target of £1,000 by some way! He says he undertook the walk to say “thank you” for the NHS treatment he received after he broke his hip and was treated for cancer. Capt Moore's feat has captured the heart of millions worldwide and led to a deluge of more than 125,000 birthday cards and messages of congratulations.
