Dog mauled in attack by Staffy at Moorlands beauty spot

THE hunt is on for the owner of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier which attacked another dog at a Moorlands Beauty spot at the weekend.

A Jack Russell was mauled in the incident which occurred in the Oakamoor area of the Churnet Valley on Saturday afternoon.

The injured dog required an operation costing £400 and faces more costly veterinary care.

The 12-year-old Jack Russell was on a lead when it was attacked.

The injured party are hoping the Staffy owner will come forward and pay the Jack Russell's vets bills.
