Derek has much more to chat about on his LASAR Radio show

LISTENERS who missed last week's Cheddleton Chats Show on LASAR Radio can catch up on an omnibus edition this coming Friday, between 2pm and 4pm.

Show presenter Derek (Rocketman) Walker will be providing the answers to these intriguing questions:

* Who did Derek see on the Roaches in the summer of 62? Was it a yak, was it a wallaby, was it a yeti or was it all three?

* What is the significance of a Bronze Age urn,the Summer Solstice and the Winking Man?

* Do The Roaches appear in one of the countries oldest scripts alongside King Arthur, Sir Gwain and The Green Knight?

All to be revealed on Derek 'Rocketman' Walker's Cheddleton Chats Show this coming Friday, between 2pm-4pm.

The picture by one of the area's foremost artists, artist Phillip Gibson, shows Matinee, the climb on The Roaches, near Leek, where Britain's famous mountaineers, Joe Brown and Don Whillans, first met in the early 1950s.
