Darts pals hit the bullseye for Prostate Cancer UK charity

BEST friends Tom 'Snoopy' Wilson and Eddie 'The Legend' Bailey's passion for darts is chalking up thousands of pounds for a national cancer charity.

The duo have raised more than £30,000 for Prostate Cancer UK in just a few years through Team Darts - a group formed to raise cash and awareness of the disease, which claims a man's life every 45 minutes.

Eddie, 66, from Cheadle , and Tom, 29, from Stoke-on-Trent, became pals three years ago and raise money for Prostate Cancer UK through darts competitions and various other events.

Tom, a former student at Leek's Westwood College, said: "I first go involved with darts thanks to Eddie and we challenged each other to raise £10,000 each which we managed to achieve"

Widower Eddie has been a darts fan for more than 40 years and is proud of what he and Tom have achieved for the cancer charity in such a short space of time.

He said: "Tom has now reached the fantastic amount of £20,000. I am a bit behind him on £11,200 due to having a major operation."
