Construction firm goes into administration owing £3.3million

A CONSTRUCTION firm in the Staffordshire Moorlands has gone into administration with debts of more than £3.3million. Will Nixon Construction Group Limited, in Rushton Spencer, near Leek, employed more than 30 people and was previously based in Biddulph Moor. At the height of its business the company had more than 100 employees and boasted an annual turnover in excess of £9.5 million. Matlock-based administrator Seneca Insolvency Practitioners are faced with claims from around 330 creditors. In an administration notice submitted to Companies House, administrator John Hedger said:" Will Nixon Construction Group began to encounter financial pressure around the middle of 2019. This was caused by contractual disputes, delayed debtor payments and, in some cases, payments being withheld altogether".
