Children are delivering messages of kindness during lockdown

SCHOOLCHILDREN are touching the hearts of elderly and vulnerable people in a Staffordshire Moorlands village during lockdown. Youngsters at Endon High School are sending out postcards and messages to assure isolated members of the local community they are not forgotten during the coronavirus pandemic. A school spokesman said: "This has really just been set up to make sure those vulnerable people still have a bit of contact during the odd times at the minute. "At Endon, one of our values is kindness. During this difficult time, we feel it is even more important to look out for each other and be kind. "It is not compulsory to take part, it is entirely optional, and pupils can do more than one if they would like to. "They don't have to be long postcards or messages, it's just meant to be a nice little update for people that won't be having much contact right now."
