POLICE are liaising with the Marine Accident Investigation Branch into their inquiries into the tragic death of a Staffordshire Moorlands woman off the North Wales coast at the weekend.
Jane Walker, 52, from Cheadle, was a passenger on a rigid inflatable boat involved in a collision with a jet ski near the Menai Bridge on Saturday evening.
The mother-of-two was rushed hospital following the incident but later died.
Det Ch Insp Brian Kearney, of North Wales Police, said an investigation had begun to ascertain the sequence of events leading up to the collision.
The North West Wales coroner has been informed of the tragedy.
Jane and husband Kevin had been happily married for 35 years.
Kevin, who described Jane as his "beautiful and witty soulmate", said: "We will try and cling onto the good times, of which there are many, even on Saturday before the tragic incident, but for now I'm at a total loss."
