Bus travellers reminded they must wear face coverings by law

FIRST Potteries are reminding bus travellers they must wear face coverings to comply with strict Government lockdown measures.

"It is now a legal requirement to wear a face covering when boarding and travelling by bus," said Rob Hughes, operations director at First Potteries.

"There are also social distancing measures in place on the bus to help people stay safe."

He added: "We also advise people to download our mobile app, which enables customers to live track not only the location of their next bus but also its available capacity."

First Potteries have brought back more vehicles into service today (Monday, July 6), following an increased easing of lockdown measures introduced to combat the spread of coronavirus.

Timetable improvements affecting the Staffordshire Moorlands include: Service 18: Hanley - Sneyd Green - Leek now running every 30 minutes during peak times and every hour throughout the day. Service 32: (Kingfisher) Hanley - Cheadle - Tean - Uttoxeter now running hourly.
