Biker suffered fractured skull in fatal spill on Cheadle estate

A MOTORCYCLIST suffered a fatal fractured skull after coming off his machine on a Cheadle housing estate last month an inquest has heard. Builder William Langford, 28, from Trentham, was declared dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred in Cheltenham Avenue on the morning of Thursday, April 23. This week's inquest into the death of the father-of-three was adjourned to a later date.

An appeal launched to help Mr Langham's family meet the cost of his funeral has so far raised more than £7,700.

A memorial event is to be held after coronavirus lockdown restrictions are lifted.

Staffordshire Police issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone in the immediate area with CCTV or relevant dash-cam footage to contact them on 101 or email ciu@staffordshire.pnn.police.uk, quoting incident number 121 of April 23.
