Biddulph early hours property blaze sparks police investigation

POLICE have launched an investigation fire at a property in Biddulph in the early hours of Friday morning (July 3).

Officers were called at 1am to reports that a house and a car were on fire on Carriage Drive.

Officers, together with firefighters from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service attended. No one was injured.

Detective Inspector Lucy Maskew, of Staffordshire Police CID North, said: “We want to hear from anyone in the area who may have seen two men acting suspiciously in the area of Carriage Drive between 12 midnight and 1am, or may have CCTV or dash-cam footage, to come forward.”
