A VILLAGE pub in the Staffordshire Moorlands is paying a unique tribute again to the fallen as Remembrance Day approaches.
Danii Malloy, artist and patriotic landlord of the Blacksmiths Arm, in Kingsley Holt, near Cheadle, has created another masterpiece on the wall of her pub to recognise our war heroes.
A mural on a side wall shows two soldiers stood between the words 'lest we forget,' adding to the painted poppies which adorn the front of the building from last year.
Danii, 28, said: "Back when lockdown started we all thought that Covid would be done by now, but of course it isn't, so we have added a mural to the display and we want to put Covid on one side for Remembrance Day.
"We need to celebrate the day and remember our veterans, it shouldn't be any different than usual this year, and it should be all over the news".
She added: "It means a lot to us and our community in particular because we have a lot of current and ex-Armed Forces members here".
