RAIN spoilt the delayed start to the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire League season.
Premier Division neighbours Leek and Ashcombe Park ended up winless after the Staffordshire Moorlands weather interrupted their fixtures.
Leek's visit from Stone SP was abandoned at the halfway stage, with the hosts having made 127-8 off 25 overs (Alex Mellor 26, Rory Jackson 21).
Mellor has returned to Leek after being released by Warwickshire and is their new skipper.
Alex Thomson, who remains on the staff at Edgbaston, also returned to Highfield to add further strength to the Leek line-up.
Leek salvaged six points from the game while Stone collected seven despite not getting a chance to bat.
Ashcombe Park 133-9 (25 overs) lost by nine wickets at home to newly-promoted Bagnall Norton 70-1 (9.5 overs).
The hosts were under new leadership after Josh Johnson took over the reins from Nathan Ball.
Irfan Khan (52 not out) and Josh Johnson (21) top scored for Ashcombe, while Matthew Reynolds (3-23) was Bagnall Norton's most successful bowler.
Josh Cartledge (22 not out) and Josh Graham (36 not out) starred with the bat for the visitors.
Bagnall Norton were awarded 15 points and Ashcombe six.
